Why did you choose Portland? Beautiful architecture, quaint neighborhoods, working waterfront, diversity. Portland feels like a big neighborhood.
Who are Portlanders you admire and why? All of the entrepreneurs for making it work and creating your own reality.
What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Feed them Bite into Maine lobster rolls, of course. Take them island hopping. tour our fantastic local breweries, eat at many of the fantastic restaurants.
Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Picking up fresh seafood at the pier.
What's the most surprising thing about this city? The amount of diversity, artists, designers, and creative people that live in a city of this size. The thought that you can always go to Boston if you need a "big city", but you never need to.
What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? There are so many! Chocolate sea salt donut from Holy Donut, Totine at the Blue Rooster, Espresso Martini at The Armory, Bun at Huongs.
What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? Nothing.
