Photographer Mark Marchesi has worked the Portland waterfront enough to love it. He's set up a project on kickstarter.com to raise money to document the local fishing industry with a large format film camera (look mom, no pixels). He only has 27 days to go and has so far secured about a third of the $2,000 that he needs to fund the project. Mark says, "Right now it looks like parts of the waterfront will be preserved for the commercial fishing industry for a long time to come. But the industry as a whole is in such a precarious position nothing is certain. But in case of the worst, this project will at least preserve Maine's oldest surviving industry on film." Help him if you can.
