The City of Portland has moved one step closer to becoming the first City in the United States to create a Tax Increment Financing District for the sole purpose of promoting and investing in the arts and Creative Economy in Portland.

/ The Arts & Equity Initiative of the City of Portland will host "Thin Blue Lines: Police Photography Exhibit and Community Dialogue" on April 3rd. The exhibition will be in Portland's City Hall Chambers Gallery on the 2nd Floor, and will be on view from 4:30 to 6 pm, followed by Community Dialogue from 6 to 7 pm.
/ Friday, March 27th, the Museum of African Culture will host "Friends of Africa," a slide show and discussion with Deb Locke called "To Timbuctou and Back: Among the Many Cultures of Mali & Burkina Faso. "

/ Would you like to be featured at the TIME Gallery in the Kids’ Korner? We are seeking submissions from Hour Exchange Kids, ages 1 to 17 who like to paint, draw, doodle, scribble and create! Send one piece of art on 8. 5” by 11” paper.
