Ed was born in 1950 and grew up in Camillus, New York. "I began my art career as a fourth grader when I made a large mural of my favorite dinosaurs for Parents’ Day. For Columbus Day, I made cork models of the Nina, Pinta and the Santa Maria. Since then I have discovered that I have been blessed with a gift for using head and hand to make my thoughts tangible realities."
Ed graduated from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo in 1973 with a BFA in Communication Design, established a career as a Graphic Designer and Art Director in various design and advertising firms in Central New York.Since 1993 Ed has been free-lancing design and illustration services, and has recently channelled his career toward fine art.
Whether it’s drawing, painting, sculpture or photography, I get the most satisfaction from the process of making my art. A finished piece is, in a way, no longer mine. It belongs to the world, especially since my work, will live way beyond my death.
My murals have been an extension of my love of nature and my experience as a backpacker and hiker. My recent move to Maine has given me a way to explore the terrain and coast of Maine while painting "en pleine aire."
My goal is to win public art commissions, commissions for commercial and residential murals and selling myself to gallerys and prospective collectors.
I paint things that are important to people and I help small businesses get found online.

I inform, inspire and influence in support of my community, with a special soft spot for the arts.
